Musk vs. Zuckerberg Fight Will Be Streamed On Twitter

The idea of Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk fighting each other in MMA has been mostly speculative. UFC President Dana White has made a big deal about how it’s “totally real” and not a gimmick.

But does Musk and Zuck really want to fight in the Octagon?

Mark Zuckerberg certainly wants to. He is very set on this happening and has already given a specific date: August 26, 2023.

The germination of the fight was when Musk took exception to Facebook’s plans for its Threads platform in June. Musk threatened to “box it out.”

Mark Zuckerberg’s response was, “Send Me Location.”

Dana White, president of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, has already met with both competitors and contacted the Italian authorities about holding the fight at the Colosseum in Rome.

While Zuckerberg has experience in martial arts, Musk has a size edge because of his regular workouts.

Musk and Zuckerberg have kept up interest in the possibility of their cage match with online jabs at each other. On Sunday, when Musk suggested the battle would be live-streamed on X, formerly known as Twitter, Zuckerberg responded.

Musk said that the money made from the battle would be donated to a veterans’ organization. On his Threads account, Zuckerberg suggested that they use a more reliable platform to raise money for an important charity.

On Sunday, Musk had already said he was getting in shape for the bout by hitting the weight room. Later, he spoke about the fight’s timetable, saying it “is still in flux” because of an MRI and perhaps surgery.

Given that Musk often tweets about action before it really happens or without following through, it remains to be seen whether Musk and Zuckerberg ever make it to the ring. But if their cage fight deal is just a joke, at least it got people talking.

In response, a never-ending stream of memes and blogs urging readers to “choose your fighter” emerged.
