(PresidentialWire.com)- On Monday’s episode of “The View” on ABC, Whoopi Goldberg informed her co-hosts that after the overturning of the Roe v. Wade decision, “plenty of states” were abusing women’s rights, just like Saudi Arabia.
Goldberg pointed out that during the weekend, President Biden took a trip to Saudi Arabia in part to negotiate for cheaper oil. However, the very moment, the first moment he met with the Saudi crown prince is making all the headlines because they greeted each other with a fist bump, which many felt was inappropriate given that the prince is accused of approving the murder of Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi as well as other human rights violations.
Whoopi continued by explaining that Jamal Khashoggi was a journalist for the Washington Post. And the fact that we decide that we are not going to engage in conversation with these individuals. We are not going to do it, and all of a sudden, you will have to figure out how you will communicate with them because you will have to deal with them.
She concluded by saying that Biden didn’t need to go to Saudi Arabia, however, to find a country that is violating human rights or a country that is opposing women because plenty of states that we live in are doing the same thing, removing protected rights from women, and not allowing them to have control over their bodies. Therefore, she simply wanted to say that she thinks that part of the significant difficulty that we have is that, frequently, our own hands are dirty.
Goldberg’s point was scattershot, a group of ideas that didn’t seem to hit any mark.
During a discussion on “The View” about the Holocaust graphic novel “Maus,” Whoopi Goldberg stated that “the Holocaust wasn’t about race” because it was a conflict between “two groups of White people.” Joy Behar, one of her co-hosts, pointed out that the Nazis were preoccupied with race, while Sara Haines reminded Goldberg that Jews were not considered White in Nazi Germany.
Goldberg is usually out over her skies intellectually but, nevertheless, gets affirmed by the housewives in attendance that are goosed by applause signs.
