(PresidentialWire.com)- Uh oh, it looks like Starbucks is the next brand to get canceled. A report from BuzzFeed news claims tat Starbucks employees received an email from company execs last week explaining how they should not wear clothes or accessories that might show their support for the Black Lives Matter protest/riot movement.
BuzzFeed News obtained a copy of the memo, which reminded all employees that they are not allowed to wear any merchandise or clothes that “advocated a political, religious or personal issue.”
Some employees, naturally, took issue with the email. They noted that Starbucks already allows employees to wear LGBTQ pins and tee shirts, particularly during June…and the rest of the summer months that the LGBTQ movement likes to claim for themselves.
One employee, a back transgender person, told Buzzfeed about the discrepancy in company rules.
“Starbucks LGBTQ+ partners wear LGBTQ+ pins and shirt, that also could incite and create violent experiences amongst partners and customers,” he/she/they said. “We have partners who experienced harassment and transphobia/homophobia for wearing their pins and shirts, and Starbucks still stands behind them.”
Starbucks implements the rule to ensure that customers aren’t likely to engage in political discussion or even be attacked verbally or physically by customers who disagree. There are few other political issues more than the far-left LGBTQ movement these days, however. What started as a gay rights movement has become one of the most radical “progressive” movements in history and despite being promoted so heavily in popular culture, it remains contentious and yet Starbucks allows people to wear LGBTQ badges.
A video message from a top executive at Starbucks was also attached to the email, according to Buzzfeed, which warned that “agitators who misconstrue the fundamental principles” of the Black Lives Matter movement may “amplify divisiveness” in the stores.
To most normal people, this makes sense. Black Lives Matter is hugely controversial right now. By siding with terrorist organization Antifa, and by burning down churches, shops, and other buildings all over the country, employees at Starbucks wearing BLM tee shirts could be seen to be advocating extremism.
Because, well, they would be.
