U.S. Senators FALSELY Claims Republicans Like Biden’s Socialist Bill

(PresidentialWire.com)- Republican Senator Bill Cassidy made the bizarre claim on Monday that Republicans support the hugely unpopular “bipartisan” infrastructure package currently being hashed out by Democrats and fake Republicans in the Senate.

Speaking to Laura Ingraham on her Fox News show on Monday, Cassidy dismissed the host’s claims that the plan was a Democratic Trojan Horse and that Republicans are falling for it.

Ingraham asked him if he had read the bill, to which he said that yes, he and his staff have read the entire thing.

“My gosh, why wouldn’t you want this?” he said about the infrastructure package, which sets aside billions of dollars for so-called “infrastructure” plans. While some of the deal does focus on bridges and roads, which America is very much in need of investment in, much of the plan also focuses on non-infrastructure issues and even opens up the possibility of spending billions of dollars further down the road on the Green New Deal and more.

Ingraham countered by playing a clip of Senator Mike Lee, a Republican from Utah, criticizing the bill, and said that it is a “glide path” to the $3.5 trillion bill being prepared for later in the year.

When Ingraham said that the White House is “giddy” at the bill, Cassidy claimed that he has talked to Fox News watchers and that they “love this bill.”

Do you believe that?

On the issue of the $3.5 trillion package that’s planned for after the first “bipartisan” package is agreed, Cassidy said that Pelosi wants to link the two packages because she doesn’t believe she has the votes for the $3.5 trillion package. Which she doesn’t.

Cassidy’s argument is that passing the smaller package now makes it less likely for the bigger package to pass down the road, but Democrats are hurrying the process along in the hopes of passing the second package before the 2022 midterms when the Republicans could easily take back the House and Senate.

What do you think the chances are that he’s right on this?
