(PresidentialWire.com)- Republican Senators Ron Johnson and Chuck Grassley officially called on the Secret Service to share the unredacted travel information of Hunter Biden, the son of President Joe Biden, from when he traveled with his father during his time as vice president of the United States.
The legislators argued in a letter on Tuesday that the federal agency’s continued refusal to provide the informed impeded their offices’ ability to “understand the full scope of the interactions” between Hunted Biden, his business associated across the world, and the Secret Service.
In the letter, the legislators noted that there are “extensive Freedom of Information Act redactions” that don’t apply to Congress and that the information should have already been made available to them.
The business interests of the Biden family in China and Ukraine were a major point of interest during the 2020 presidential election, but for the most part only to Republicans. It was widely ignored by the mainstream media and routinely dismissed by the Biden campaign team.
According to the two GOP senators, the Secret Service also hid the names of people involved in email communications, as well as the details of email conversations, “without any proper legal justification.”
They specifically referenced one person who appeared to have organized a private flight for Hunter Biden and his business associates from France to Kazakhstan.
If these meetings were as innocent as the Biden administration would like the world to believe, then why is so much information being hidden?
“The USSS records do not show whether USSS personnel or Hunter Biden traveled to Kazakhstan in May or June 2014,” the letter states.
In September of 2020, Senators Grassley and Johnson published a joint report revealing that Hunter Biden’s business ties to Ukrainian energy firm Burisma was “problematic” and also interfered with the execution of Obama-era Ukraine policy.
