(PresidentialWire.com)- On Wednesday, the hosts of ABC’s “The View,” including new GOP-leaning co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin, were unanimous in their criticism of House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) for providing hundreds of hours of tape from January 6 to Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson.
Concerns raised by the panel’s female participants ranged from displeasure with Carlson’s employment at Fox News to worry that the footage’s release may provide terrorists with sensitive knowledge about Capitol building safeguards.
Joy Behar was at the forefront of the onslaught, making personal attacks on Tucker Carlson and Fox News. She said they spew falsehoods to the public that they don’t even believe themselves on the broadcast. She said Carlson is essentially saying, don’t trust your eyes, “believe what I tell you” after being given a video from January 6 to use for propaganda on Fox.
Alyssa Farah Griffin thinks it’s a bad idea for Tucker to have the tapes because he may compromise Congressional security. She believes there are serious security worries for the Capitol because of this.
She claims Tucker will expose the locations of emergency facilities, secure areas, and surveillance cameras, paving the way for another 9/11.
Despite former prosecutor Sunny Hostin’s reassurances that Carlson’s possession of the videos is not illegal, co-host Joy Behar immediately interjected to say that it may be and then claimed that Carlson was not genuine news and would not give the films a fair presentation.
Carlson’s co-host, Sara Haines, agreed that the “news” would not be shown, and she echoed Griffin’s fear that airing the clip may jeopardize security. She continued by saying that evidence has surfaced implicating Republican members of Congress in giving tours to rioters before the upheaval.
Haines then argued that the American people wouldn’t benefit from watching the film since the January 6 Committee had already finished its study and announced its findings.
It’s almost like they do not want an alternative point of “view.”
