Trump’s Old Attorney Is Getting Her Own Attorneys

(PresidentialWire.com)- A few more of Donald Trump’s former attorneys are seeking legal representation for themselves.

This time, it’s Christina Bobb who is seeking counsel of her own, as she is being targeted in investigations.

According to a recent report in The New York Times, the Department of Justice revealed that some of Trump’s attorneys “misled federal investigators about whether he had handed over to the Justice Department all the classified documents he took from the White House when he left office.”

According to The Times, the DOJ is now looking into whether two of those lawyers, Bobb and M. Evan Corcoran, could ultimately be prosecuted for what they did — or didn’t do. In that effort, the DOJ could seek to have Bobb and Corcoran serve as witnesses for them and against Trump, their former client.

Former Trump attorneys needing their own legal representation is nothing new, of course.

Rudy Giuliani, who was once the personal lawyer for Trump, has found himself in hot water in a number of instances and is part of an ongoing investigation in Georgia into meddling in the 2020 election there.

Michael Cohen, the former “fixer” for Trump, spent three years behind bars for roles he played for the former president.

Several people who were part of the legal team at the White House during the Trump administration have also testified to multiple panels and committees that are investigating the events of January 6, 2021 — and what led up to and followed it — including what roles Trump may have played in directly or indirectly trying to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election illegally.

Two of those former counsels were Pat Philbin and Pat Cipollone. The Times further reported:

“Seventeen mostly lesser-known lawyers who represented Mr. Trump in battleground states as he tried to overturn the election are facing ethics complaints, putting them at risk of being disciplined or disbarred by bar associations or the courts.”

These lawyers are having a tough time when it comes to representing Trump in any of his legal challenges. Kim Wehle, a law professor at the University of Baltimore who has been on top of the investigations into the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot, recently commented on the situations for the lawyers:

“There’s no way to adhere to your ethical integrity and keep your job. There’s just no way to not step into a mess.”

Giuliani, for example, has had his licenses to practice law in both the District of Columbia and the state of New York suspended because of his role in pushing election fraud lies.

Another lawyer, Sidney Powell, has already been sanctioned in Detroit, Michigan. She’s also facing the possibility of being disbarred in Texas.

What will come of the situation with the lawyers who may have lied to federal investigators about the documents Trump took with him from the White House to Mar-a-Lago is unclear at this point.

But, Bobb, for one, seemingly knows that there’s a tough road ahead for her.
