Trump Using His Past Relationship With Putin To Predict His Next Move

( Former President Donald Trump got a lot of grief from the left-wing press when he suggested that Russian President Vladimir Putin’s decision to sign a decree recognizing two eastern regions of Ukraine as “independent” was “genius.” However, few have really looked at what the former president actually said about Putin.

Rather than praising Putin’s decision to invade, Trump acknowledged that Putin was smart and that he knew him well enough to have been able to stop him from launching the attack had he still been in the White House.

In a statement issued by his Save America PAC, Trump said that if the situation was handled properly “there was absolutely no reason that the situation currently happening in Ukraine should have happened at all.”

“I know Vladimir Putin very well, and he would have never done during the Trump administration what he is doing now…no way!” he said.

President Joe Biden evidently wasn’t happy to hear the former president talking tough and laughed off his comments during an interview last Saturday.

“I put as much stock in Trump saying that Putin’s a genius as I do when he called himself a stable genius,” Biden said.

But if the president is so confident that Trump is wrong and Putin isn’t a genius…then why is it that the U.S. was completely outsmarted and undermined by the Russian president?

If Trump is wrong, why is the invasion happening, and why didn’t Biden’s threat of sanctions work?

Trump added that oil prices are skyrocketing and Putin is getting what he wanted all along – and it’s all thanks to President Joe Biden.
