Trump SLAMS Dems Over Mail-In Voting, “If You Can Protest In Person, You Can Vote In Person”

(PresidentialWire.com)- Democratic leaders have been pushing the idea of universal mail-in voting for months now, hoping that the Chinese coronavirus pandemic would give politicians the excuse they need to implement a new form of voting that would open up the election to widespread fraud and abuse. President Donald Trump and the Republicans have staunchly opposed the idea, and this week the president exposed their hypocrisy better than anyone else has to date.

In a tweet, President Trump said, “If you can protest in person, you can vote in person!”

Right?

If the Democrats are absolutely fine with people taking to the streets to protest what they call “racial justice,” then why do they think it’s any more dangerous for people to go out and vote? Not only does mail-in voting require people to leave their homes to drop off their ballots for delivery, but people are already leaving their homes to protest with Antifa and Black Lives Matter.

Even people who aren’t protesting still leave their homes to visit the supermarket, making the case for universal mail-in voting particularly weak. Those who really cannot vote on election day, and who cannot risk leaving their home, can still apply for absentee ballots too.

So what excuse do the Democrats still have for implementing a universal mail-in voting system, that could potentially result in millions of people who have moved home having ballots sent to their old properties?

On Monday, President Trump once again slammed universal mail-in voting during an interview on Fox & Friends. He said a presidential election will never be fair if the proposals move forward.

“I have to tell you, that if you go with this universal mail-in…tens of millions of ballots being sent to everybody and their dogs, dogs are getting them, OK?” he said, in reference to stories of pets receiving ballots papers in the mail. “People that have been dead for 25 years are getting them, you have to see what’s happening. Then you’re never going to have a fair election.”

If millions of dead people or people who have moved out of state still have ballots sent to their old properties, what’s stopping people filling in those ballots and submitting them?

Let’s hope the election stays free and fair.
