When Donald Trump wins office, he is allegedly going to dispatch clandestine squads to Mexico to eradicate the heads of the drug cartels that are causing chaos in the United States.
Some say that Trump is considering it as a strategy to instill terror in the minds of Mexico’s most infamous drug lords if he is re-elected to the Presidency next year.
For example, the number of American forces the former president would be ready to deploy into Mexican territory that is legally under Mexican sovereignty is not something that he has publicly discussed. However, according to sources, Trump has secretly supported the plan to covertly send special operations units to Mexico, with or without permission from the Mexican government. Their mission would include, among other things, the elimination of the most powerful and infamous drug cartel leaders and top enforcers.
The Sinaloa Cartel is the largest and most influential drug and human trafficking organization. Notable individuals like Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán have been at the helm since its establishment in the late 1980s. The drug ring includes operations in Mexico, the US, and Latin America, and its main products include heroin, cocaine, methamphetamine, fentanyl, Marijuana, and Ecstasy.
According to these sources, Trump has compared these suggestions to the 2019 military operation he authorized, which killed ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. He has insisted that the United States should tackle the leadership of drug cartels in the same way.
Since Joe Biden came to office in January 2021, narcotics gangs have used the nation’s porous border to extend their operations throughout the country, with human trafficking, slavery, and smuggling lethal chemicals like fentanyl.
To confront the drug gangs, Trump hinted last year that he would be ready to deploy military action, with or without Mexico’s approval. The president of Mexico, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador (AMLO), condemned the remarks, calling them an insult to Mexican citizens.
Trump also said that he had a great connection with Mexico’s president. Even though AMLO is a socialist, he is also quite the gentleman. He could make deals with him. The problem isn’t just people illegally crossing the border; it’s an invasion. It will be terminated without delay at our end.
