Trump Comes about Swinging Against Liz Cheney

( It is reasonable to presume that former President Donald Trump does not have any actual allies on the January 6 committee. All nine members feel he should carry at least some responsibility for the attack on the Capitol. This is the safest assumption to make. But according to Trump, out of all the committee members, including seven Democrats, Representative Liz Cheney (R-WY) is the one who is going after him the most aggressively.

In an interview with the Washington Post, the former president revealed that he has heard that Cheney is his most aggressive opponent on the committee.

From what others tell him and from what he hears from other legislators, Trump has said that she’s like a raving lunatic. She’s worse than anyone else. According to what he’s been told, she’s even more awful than any Democrat.

Trump has indicated that he considers Cheney an even bigger enemy than Representative Adam Schiff (D-CA).

The conclusion reached by the former president is supported by the findings of a report written by Jacqueline Alemany and Josh Dawsey for the Washington Post.

The authors say that Cheney has distinguished herself as a panelist with her forthright and law-oriented stance against Trump and the attack on the Capitol. Colleagues agree that the politician, who has a legal background, is the most well-read and knowledgeable member of the panel. She has adopted the most combative stance toward the previous president compared to the other eight members.

A committee member said that Cheney has wanted to make sure that they keep the focus on Trump and the political effort to overthrow Biden’s majority in the electoral college and attack the peaceful transfer of power.

The authors agree Cheney has shown to be more aggressive than even some committee Democrats wanting to go straight after Trump.
Like Cheney, establishment, swampy, RINO GOP types see Trump as a threat to their comfortable Uniparty.
