(PresidentialWire.com)- The story of Police Captain David Dorn is tragic. He was a retired police captain from St. Louis who was murdered by extremist rioters while trying to defend his friend’s shop in June. The 77-year-old was seen in video footage defending the property from rioters motivated by Black Lives Matter and Antifa, before being killed by the so-called “peaceful protesters.”
Dorn’s body was found on the side of the road at 2:30 a.m. on June 2.
On the final night of the Republican National Convention, the widow of David Dorn, Ann Dorn, called on Democratic governors and mayors to request assistance from the federal government to deal with the riots. Her please come at a time when Democratic leaders have consistently refused to request support from President Donald Trump for political reasons.
During her speech, Ann explained that David was a “friend to thousands” and once befriended a young man called Lee, who went on to start a pawn shop. That was the shop he was trying to defend after an alarm went off in the middle of the night. Dorn would regularly visit the store when the alarm went off, Ann explained, while most times it was a false alarm.

On June 2, it wasn’t a false alarm.
“Most of the time they were false alarms triggered by a storm or animals, but I never rested easily until I heard Dave’s key turn in the door knowing he was home safe,” she said. “The alarm went off the morning of June 2 was for real.”
Ann explained that it was the same night that four officers were shot in St. Louis, while others were hurt and hit with fireworks and rocks.
“After I had gone to bed, David received a call from Lee’s alarm company,” she said. “The front door of the pawn shop had been breached. This time, he didn’t wake me up to tell me. He probably knew I would have tried to stop him, or insist on going with him. As I slept, looters were ransacking the shop. They shot and killed David in cold blood, and then live-streamed his execution and his last moments on earth.”
David Dorn was an African American. In this instance, his black life didn’t matter to the rioters.
She also told the story of how her grandson was watching Facebook live stream video that showed his grandfather dying on the sidewalk, without knowing it was his grandfather.
