(PresidentialWire.com)- The Red Ensign flag of Canada, which was in use until 1965, is categorized as a “hate symbol” in a pamphlet for Canadian government-financed schoolchildren. On June 30, the cabinet gave their approval to the pamphlet.
Additionally, the brochure cautions children to be aware of peers who raise the “free speech” position because it is one of the “typical defenses of hate propaganda.”
According to CAHN Chair Bernie Farber, the pamphlet will serve as the cornerstone of a campaign to “fight and win against hatred” and educate youngsters.
According to Farber, the goal of this free toolbox is to assist parents, teachers, and the community in recognizing and taking action before it’s too late when a young person is being groomed and recruited by a white supremacist movement. Not just a free toolset, either. The Canadian Anti-Hate Network is launching an extensive educational campaign.
The younger alt-right/Canada First movement frequently uses the Canadian Red Ensign, but it has also been observed among older hate-promoting organizations and individuals. Its use now is a sign of attitudes that encourage hatred.
The book also encourages young readers to confront people who favorably discuss “problematic” leaders.
It says educators and students may occasionally need to respond immediately to a classmate who cites a racist philosophy.
The manual states that while these circumstances should be handled cautiously, they must be addressed immediately. These occurrences might be minor or severe, and each will demand a different strategy based on the circumstance.
Examples: In a class discussion, a student may support a questionable person or proposal, such as Trump’s wall.

Diversity Minister Ahmed Hussen told reporters that the new resource will be distributed through seminars in schools all around the nation and that it would help pupils become more conscious. He also said that the booklet would assist “convey essential principles to our youth.”
According to Blacklock’s Reporter, Hussen gave the publication “Confronting and Preventing Hate in Canadian Schools” funds totaling CAD 268 400. The Canadian Anti-Hate Network (CAHN) wrote the manual, which had previously gotten CAD 268,400 in government funds to run its website.
The Red Ensign Flag is included as one of the “hate symbols” in the booklet’s chapter on such symbols.
The flag was flown until 1965, according to the statement. The brochure adds, “Its usage indicates a wish to revert to Canada’s demographics before 1967 when it was predominately white.
