Suing Critics While Facing Criminal Charges
In what can only be described as a stunning display of hypocrisy, the Tate brothers have decided that they’re the real victims here. While facing serious accusations of human trafficking, rape, and organized crime in Romania, they’ve somehow found time to file a lawsuit against people who dare to criticize them online. Their defamation lawsuit, filed in Florida, targets 15 defendants, including social media users and advocates who have spoken out for alleged victims of the Tates’ reported abuse schemes.
According to the lawsuit, these users formed what the Tates dramatically call ‘Team Matrix’ — supposedly a coordinated effort to damage their sterling reputations. Because clearly, what’s hurting the Tate brothers’ image isn’t the sex trafficking charges or the tax evasion case or the sexual assault lawsuit — it’s those pesky social media users calling them out. This is the Constitutional right to free speech being attacked by men who claim to champion freedom while trying to silence their critics.
Ex-Girlfriend’s Shocking Assault Allegations
While the Tates are busy trying to silence their critics, they’re also dealing with a sexual assault lawsuit from Andrew’s ex-girlfriend, Brianna Stern. She claims Tate choked and beat her during what began as a consensual encounter at the Beverly Hills Hotel on March 11 that quickly turned violent. According to Stern, Tate threatened her, saying, “You are my property,” and made threats of rape or murder. This woman came forward with text messages and medical records as evidence, not just empty accusations.
“This defamation suit is yet another intimidation tactic that is the Tate brothers’ modus operandi for silencing critics and witnesses against them”, says Marcel van der Watt.
In response to these allegations, Tate’s lawyer Joseph McBride called the lawsuit a “blatant cash grab” and a “desperate attempt by a sad individual to exploit Andrew’s success and reputation for personal gain.” Because apparently in Tate’s world, women only report assault for money, not because they were actually assaulted. Text messages reportedly sent by Tate to Stern included chilling statements like “I really love hitting you it’s very good for me and you. It’s relaxing don’t you think?” But sure, she’s just in it for the cash.
A Pattern of Legal Troubles and Intimidation
The Tate brothers’ legal troubles extend far beyond this latest lawsuit. They face charges in Romania for sex trafficking, rape, and organized crime, with new allegations involving minors. They’re under a $27 million tax evasion lawsuit. Andrew faces “sexual aggression” charges in the UK. Yet somehow, they’ve managed to return to the US and set up shop in Florida, where they’ve filed a $5 million defamation lawsuit against another accuser. The strategy is clear: use the courts to bully and intimidate anyone who speaks out against them.
“Florida is not a place where you’re welcome with that type of conduct in the air”, says Governor Ron DeSantis.
Even Florida officials want nothing to do with these guys. Governor Ron DeSantis made it clear that Florida was not involved in the Tates’ arrival and doesn’t welcome their conduct. The state’s Attorney General has launched a criminal investigation into the brothers.
The National Center on Sexual Exploitation has criticized their lawsuit as an attack on First Amendment rights. But the Tates persist in their campaign of legal intimidation, making a mockery of the judicial system while portraying themselves as victims of a grand conspiracy rather than men facing the consequences of their own alleged actions.
