Sean Hannity Makes Remarks on Kamala Harris’ ‘Honeymoon’ Phase

Sean Hannity responded to Kamala Harris’s poll rise by dismissing it as a honeymoon phase. In the days after it became clear that Harris would fight the Democrat corner in November, initial polls showed her leading Donald Trump, prompting an outpouring from conservative commentators. Hannity said the mainstream media was busily engaged in covering up Harris’s “radical” past and “pretending” she was not actually appointed to the role of “border czar” and, therefore, cannot be held responsible for America’s porous southern border. He said the media was “gushing” over the Vice President, but the honeymoon would soon be over.

Joe Biden’s Condition

Mr. Hannity also noted Joe Biden’s health and argued that if he’s not able to run for President, he should leave office immediately. He also accused Harris of complicity in covering up the President’s cognitive decline, along with fellow Democrats, in the weeks running up to his announcement. Donald Trump expressed a similar view. Writing on his Truth Social media account, Trump said those around Biden, including doctors and the media, knew he was incapable of being President but stayed silent. The former President likewise joined a Republican chorus declaring that if Biden is not fit to run for election, he is not fit to occupy the Oval Office.

Is She A “DEI Hire”

Some Republicans have come under fire, including from within their own party, for referring to the Vice President as a “DEI hire” because of her race and gender. Critics denounced the description as “racist and sexist” and an assumption that a non-white woman could not succeed on her own merit.

Media reports noted a closed-door meeting of GOP lawmakers on Capitol Hill where they were told not to repeat the insinuation and to focus instead on Ms. Harris’s record in office.

Rep. Richard Hudson of North Carolina, who chairs the National Republican Congressional Committee, told his party to de-emphasize Harris’s race or gender, while House Speaker Mike Johnson told reporters that the Presidential election has “nothing to do” with either. “This election will be about policies and not personalities,” he said.

Conservatives claim Harris was one of the most left-wing Senators in America.
