(PresidentialWire.com)- During the Democrats’ day-long campaign event celebrating the anniversary of the 3-hour riot on January 6, the odious Kamala Harris had the gall to compare this brief melee to the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor and the 9/11 terror attack.
In her brief speech, Harris claimed that certain dates in our history occupy “a place in our collective memory.” Then she rattled off December 7, 1941, September 11, 2001, and January 6, 2021.
Remember that Sesame Street song “One of these things is not like the other?”
It would be laughable if it wasn’t so vile and disgusting.
And last Friday, the man who led the city of New York on 9/11 slammed Kamala Harris for her inappropriate and offensive remarks.
In an interview on Newsmax, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani called Kamala’s comments “utterly frightening.” But more frightening, Giuliani said, was that there will be people who believe she was right to lump January 6 in with 9/11.
Giuliani, who has remained close with a lot of 9/11 survivors, said some of them said they didn’t care what Kamala Harris had to say because they think she’s an idiot. But at the same time, some of them were upset about her remarks, calling them disrespectful.
But “disrespectful” is an understatement.
Comparing a 3-hour riot to an attack that left three thousand Americans dead is like comparing a paper cut to pancreatic cancer. Rather than elevate January 6, what Kamala Harris did was trivialize the single deadliest terror attack in US history. It was an insult both to the people who lost their lives on 9/11 and to the people who lost their lives in the wars that followed the attack.
It showed that Kamala Harris has so little regard for actual human tragedy, she is willing to stand on the graves of the dead to score political points.
She should be ashamed. But she isn’t.
