Republican Rushes To Defend Ilhan Omar

(Presidentialwire.com)- A congressman broke ranks and inexplicably came to the aid of Ilhan Omar, the infamous Jew-hating congresswoman.

Late last week, Rep. Ken Buck (R-CO) backed Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), a far-left member, against calls to remove her from the House Foreign Affairs Committee due to her anti-Semitic past.

Andrew McCarthy’s initiative to bounce Omar was put in peril by Buck’s stance after two other Republicans also backed Omar.

Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC), one of Omar’s staunchest supporters, said it was a First Amendment problem. According to Mace, “we don’t have to agree with everything members say. I believe we need to be extremely cautious about what a constitutional republic is,” the speaker said.

Mace said she doesn’t like Ilhan Omar. “She hates Jewish people. She is bigoted. She is prejudiced. She is a socialist,” said Mace. But she said that doesn’t mean we “cancel her over it.”

“Republicans don’t stand for cancel culture. And that’s essentially what this is, “ Mace said.

Mace is all for a bigoted, Jew-hating, prejudiced socialist to be honored with a committee seat.

Omar’s expulsion from the House Foreign Affairs Committee, according to Mace, “sets a dangerous precedent,” even though Republicans have previously been expelled from committees by Democrats due to their contentious statements.

“Anti-Semitism is rampant in our nation. We need to be denouncing it as we always have, but we also have the First Amendment right to do so,” she said.

Yes, Omar has the right to say what she wants to say. But she has no right to a House Foreign Affairs Committee seat.

This Thursday, Rep. Victoria Spartz (R-IN) also said she opposes having Omar removed from the Foreign Affairs committee.

“Two wrongs do not equal a right,” according to Spartz.

“Last Congress, Speaker Pelosi took extraordinary steps to remove Representatives Greene and Gosar from their committees without following the correct procedures. This Congress, Speaker McCarthy is taking extraordinary steps to once again refuse the Minority committee assignments without following the usual procedures. Speaker McCarthy must quit the “bread and circuses” in Congress and begin really leading,” Spartz said.
