Postal Service Caught Running Spying Operation Targeting Americans

( A shocking operation involving law enforcement and the United States Postal Service was just revealed to be quietly tracking and collecting social media posts made by Americans, in an Orwellian move designed to track the movement of citizens planning to engage in protests.

If anyone other than President Biden was in the White House, it might be assumed that the operation was designed to track violent left-wing extremists who caused more than $2 billion in damage last year – but it sounds like this operation could be going after all Americans regardless of whether they are law-abiding citizens or not.

The surveillance effort, known as the Internet Covert Operations Program or “iCOP” has never been made public until now. Documents obtained by Yahoo News reveal that the program instructs analysts to trawl through various social media websites to find posts that they consider “inflammatory” and then share that information to a number of government agencies.

It means that anyone who stands up to far-left extremists and Black Lives Matter could have already been flagged to government agencies just for doing so in an online post.

A March 16 government bulletin that was labeled “law enforcement sensitive,” which was seen by Yahoo News, explained the program.

“Analysts with the United States Postal Inspection Service (USPIS) Internet Covert Operations Program (iCOP) monitored significant activity regarding planned protests occurring internationally and domestically on March 20, 2021,” the bulletin said.

“Locations and times have been identified for these protests, which are being distributed online across multiple social media platforms, to include right-wing leaning Parler and Telegram accounts.”

The bulletin also referred to a number of groups who were planning on gathering to legitimately protest against COVID-19 lockdowns, 5G, and various other issues. Despite the “World Wide Rally for Freedom and Democracy” being entirely legal and legitimate, the bulletin still flagged the rally and speculated that people were using social media to promote violence.

“Parler users have commented about their intent to use the rallies to engage in violence. Image 3 on the right is a screenshot from Parler indicating two users discussing the event as an opportunity to engage in a ‘fight’ and to ‘do serious damage,’” the bulletin said, before ,adding, “No intelligence is available to suggest the legitimacy of these threats.”

As part of the bulletin, screenshots of posts made On Telegram, Facebook, Parler, and other social media outlets were included. Some included posts from Proud Boys – members of a multi-racial libertarian group often described as a terrorist organization by left-wing activists and Democrats – but none of the posts contained any threatening material.
