(PresidentialWire.com)- One of the leading members of a group of six far-left progressive congresswomen called The Squad was, once again, resoundingly jeered on social media for saying something less than scholarly and in laughable fashion.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, also known as AOC, is becoming more well-known as a gaffe machine, not unlike the president. During an appearance on Instagram Live, AOC channeled her inner-Biden, emphasizing what she thought was a salient point by whispering, a technique Biden has continually used despite being universally regarded as “creepy.”
“Let me tell you a secret,” AOC said in hushed tones, holding her hand up to her face, fingers cupped around her mouth, “most people don’t really know what capitalism is. Most people don’t even know what socialism is. But most people are not capitalists because they don’t have capitalist money. They’re not billionaires.”
The ridicule online was swift and brutal.
Author, Gad Saad, tweeted, “One of the most powerful women. Good luck USA. You had a good run.”
The Republican congressional hopeful in Florida’s 24th district, Lavern Spicer, quipped, “Pssst. I’ll tell you a secret: AOC is an embarrassment to Congress and to women everywhere.”
The popular political commentator, Tim Pool, tweeted, “AOC should have googled the definition of capitalist before making this video but I hope the ASMR channel works for her.”
ASMR (Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response) is a YouTube channel specializing in content that helps a person relax. The implication is that AOC will need it because of the “noise” her latest gaffe was generating.
Later in the live appearance, Ocasio-Cortez concluded that labels don’t matter as much as talking policies. But it was too late; she had already labeled people stupid for not knowing what capitalism is.
“That’s easier to understand,” AOC said condescendingly.
Her deep thoughts continued- “Do you think people should die because they can’t afford insulin? Do you think fossil fuel CEOs should decide whether the planet gets set on fire? Me neither.”
The irony is that this woman, famously, didn’t know what a garbage disposal was.
She once attacked the GOP when a congressman stood for a photo-op next to a cardboard cutout of her, snidely remarking, “GOP: Let’s pose our older male members next to cardboard cutouts of young female legislators.” The congressman in question was a democrat, John Yarmuth of Kentucky.
That wouldn’t be the last time she introduced sexuality into her gripes. This past January, AOC, whose district in NY mandated the use of masks, defended herself after being caught in Florida, maskless, by bizarrely claiming that GOP critics wanted to “date her.”
The only thing that could have made this remark creepier is if she whispered it.
