Mysterious “Payment” From Crypto Billionaire To Nancy Pelosi’s PAC Draws Questions

( Political insiders had their suspicions, but it wasn’t clear until this weekend that a national Democratic political action committee, House Majority PAC, began spending on political outsider Carrick Flynn’s congressional campaign only after receiving a substantial donation from Flynn’s crypto-billionaire backer. This revelation came after political insiders had their suspicions, but it wasn’t clear until this weekend that House Majority PAC was the culprit.

Many people were under the impression that a significant donation was why the House Majority PAC, which is connected to the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, was getting involved in a Democratic primary when it typically fought for Democrats against Republicans.

No longer can it be considered conjecture.

Sam Bankman-Fried, the wealthiest man in the bitcoin industry, contributed to Protect Our Future and House Majority PAC. Through Protect Our Future, Bankman-Fried unsuccessfully spent $11.4 million to help Flynn get through the Democratic primary.

Bloomberg initially reported on Saturday that Bankman-Fried had contributed $6 million to the House Majority PAC. The contribution was made on April 4th. Flynn’s backing from the House Majority PAC was made public on April 11.

Bloomberg further claimed that Bankman-donation Fried’s $6 million to the House Majority PAC accounted for most of the $9.8 million raised in April. He was among the top donors to super PACs in May. (Bloomberg did not connect the support for Flynn from the PAC and the PAC’s involvement.)

Requests for comment from the House Majority PAC were not immediately met with a response.

Despite the fact that Flynn’s supporters spent more money on the race, State Representative Andrea Salinas (D-Lake Oswego) prevailed in the Democratic primary for Oregon’s new 6th District.

Also, according to state papers, a dark money foundation linked to House Majority Leader Nancy Pelosi has been overdue in California for months. It has been threatened with suspension or revocation.

Due to the delinquency, House Majority Forward, a Pelosi-affiliated nonprofit, has been forbidden from soliciting or collecting contributions in California, where many prominent Democratic contributors reside.

While it’s hard to say whether the nonprofit generated money in California since it went out of compliance, the organization listed a San Francisco-based fundraiser on its payroll on its most recent tax filings.

Time to start calling her “Crooked Nancy.”
