(PresidentialWire.com)- Far-left House Speaker Nancy Pelosi may continually claim that her committee “investigating” the January 6 riot in Washington, D.C. is a bipartisan committee, but a poll shows that the majority of the American public doesn’t see things the way she does.
On Thursday, a Harvard CAPS-Harris Poll showed that some 58% of Americans recognize that the committee was only established by Speaker Pelosi to smear Republicans, describing the investigation as “biased.”
Only 42% of respondents, mostly Democrats, said that they believe the investigation is fair.
After failing to gain support from Republicans to establish a legitimate Congressional Commission, Speaker Pelosi set up a select committee and later rejected Republican nominees to sit on the panel. The nominees, who supported former President Donald Trump and didn’t believe that the January 6 protest constituted an “insurrection” were denied a seat on the committee because they didn’t share Pelosi’s views.
How can it be an investigation if it is based on the false premise that the riot was, in fact, an insurrection? Isn’t the point of the investigation to determine whether or not Speaker Pelosi’s insane claims are true?
Mark Penn, the codirector of the latest survey, told The Hill that the American people don’t want Speaker Pelosi to focus on the January 6 protests, but to instead perform a full investigation into the riots over the summer of 2020, which caused an estimated $2 billion in damage.
Americans also reportedly want an investigation into the origins of the COVID-19 virus – not a partisan smear campaign designed to hurt Republicans.
He said that voters “reject the Pelosi move to toss Republicans off of the committee” and see the whole thing as a partisan exercise.
Which of course, it is.
Pelosi might not think the American people see what she’s doing, but they do, and they’re preparing to vote to remove her from her speaker position in 2022. That’s why the Democrats are pushing so hard for federal election law changes that would make it easier for them to cheat.
