(PresidentialWire.com)- More Americans believe now than last December that the FBI is President Biden’s “personal gestapo,” according to a Rasmussen poll reported by WND. Last year, 46% of likely voters agreed with the statement that “there is a group of politicized thugs at the top of the FBI that are using the FBI as Joe Biden’s personal Gestapo.” After the FBI’s raid on the former president, that number has increased to 53%.
The survey was first reportedly suggested by New York Post columnist Miranda Devine who said that conservatives have had enough with the FBI, whereas liberals who were once critical of the agency have a newfound love for it as they are “happy because a politicized agency is coming after their ideological enemies, particularly their bête noire, Trump.”
It was Devin who had published a series of damning reports against the Biden regime, including Hunter Biden’s laptop that showed that the Biden family was running a multi-million-dollar influence operation with the Chinese Communist Party, Russian and Ukrainian oligarchs. The report was shut down by big tech and censored, especially on Twitter, but whistleblowers recently alleged that the FBI quashed an investigation into Hunter Biden and his laptop, claiming that the agency has become a partisan actor.
“It’s a stark turnaround from the days of decrying the FBI’s efforts to target Martin Luther King,” Devin wrote. “The left has discarded any pretense of caring about civil liberties or injustice and instead sneers at conservatives who they claim are the ones who have jettisoned their core principles and now are ‘anti-cop.’”
The Rasmussen survey also found that 44% of likely voters trust federal agents less, while 29% trust them more. In spite of the increase in those who distrust the FBI or federal agents, by a 50%-46% margin, voters have a favorable impression of the FBI.
Earlier this month, Project Veritas reportedly released an FBI document that labeled symbols such as the Gadsden Flag, Revolutionary War imagery as “extremist.” A bulletin released by the FBI and DHS highlight that those who claim the 2020 election was fraudulent, believe in “other claims of government overreach,” or have “grievances against a variety of targets including law enforcement,” are “domestic violent terrorists.”
The bulletin came after increased threats to the FBI after the agency raided the former president’s home when they were executing a search warrant approved by Biden-appointed Attorney General Merrick Garland. The raid came in response to an unnamed informant who alleged that Trump possessed classified documents. The FBI forcefully entered the home with backpacks, according to the former president’s lawyers, and demanded that the home’s camera be shut off.
