Missouri is taking unprecedented action to hold the communist regime accountable for the COVID-19 pandemic. The state has begun seizing Chinese-owned farmland to collect on a massive $24 billion judgment awarded by a federal judge.
At a glance:
• Missouri won a landmark $24 billion lawsuit against China for allegedly covering up the COVID-19 pandemic and hoarding critical medical supplies
• U.S. District Court Judge Stephen N. Limbaugh Jr. ruled that China was liable for misleading the world about the dangers of COVID-19
• The judgment allows Missouri to seize Chinese-owned assets, including farmland, under the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act
• China owns approximately 384,000 acres of U.S. farmland, with concerns about proximity to military installations
• China has rejected the ruling and threatened countermeasures, calling the lawsuit baseless
Missouri Takes Unprecedented Action Against China
Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey has launched an aggressive campaign to identify and seize Chinese-owned assets within the state. The unprecedented move follows a federal court ruling that found China liable for $24 billion in damages related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The judgment, issued by U.S. District Court Judge Stephen N. Limbaugh Jr., determined that China deliberately misled the world about the dangers and scope of the coronavirus outbreak. Judge Limbaugh specifically cited China’s campaign to hoard Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while downplaying the virus’s human-to-human transmission capabilities.
More of this, please. Other states should follow Missouri’s lead, claim massive damages from China—which are totally justified—and use the claim to recover Chinese assets like farmland. It’s a scandal Beijing was ever allowed to own farmland in the US in the first place. https://t.co/CnKOgJr6Cv

Missouri filed the lawsuit in 2020, targeting the Chinese Communist Party, the Wuhan Institute of Virology, and several Chinese government entities. The legal action accused China of nationalizing American PPE factories and hoarding supplies meant for the United States during the critical early months of the pandemic.
Attorney General Bailey stated, “Missouri will start to identify and begin going to court to have court orders issued to seize those assets to make good on that judgment.” The victory represents a significant milestone in holding China accountable for its role in the global health crisis.
China’s Farmland Ownership Raises National Security Concerns
The seizure of Chinese-owned farmland has brought renewed attention to foreign ownership of American agricultural property. According to U.S. Department of Agriculture data, foreign entities owned approximately 40.8 million acres of American farmland as of 2021, with Chinese interests controlling about 384,000 acres.
Security experts have long voiced concerns about Chinese land purchases near sensitive military installations. Several of these acquisitions are strategically positioned near U.S. military bases, raising questions about potential espionage activities and threats to national security.
The Treasury Department recently proposed rules to block Chinese corporations from owning land near military bases. This regulatory move aligns with President Donald Trump’s campaign proposal to ban Chinese nationals from purchasing American farmland.
Judge Limbaugh wrote in his ruling, “China’s campaign to hoard the global supply of PPE was performed in conjunction with its repeated misrepresentations on the existence, and then scope and human-to-human transmissibility of, the COVID-19 virus.” This deception cost Missouri millions in additional PPE expenses and an estimated $8 billion in lost tax revenue.
China’s Embassy in Washington has forcefully rejected the Missouri judgment. Chinese Embassy spokesman Liu Pengyu claimed, “The so-called lawsuit has no basis in fact, law or international precedence,” while threatening unspecified countermeasures against the United States.
Let’s see if they even try…
