Mike Huckabee Responds To Tim Scott Attack

(PresidentialWire.com)- In his latest opinion piece for The Western Journal, former Governor of Arkansas Mike Huckabee revealed his opinion on the racist attacks against Black Republican Senator Tim Scott of South Carolina. He explained how he hadn’t written very much previously about the attacks against his friend Senator Scott for his “terrific speech in response to President Biden’s address to Congress,” but that he now felt compelled to speak out.

He added that the response to Scott’s speech, which included mocking and taunting from Joy Behar and Jimmy Kimmel, displayed the “jaw-dropping” behavior of the “condescending rich, white liberals” who lecture a Black man from the South.

Huckabee said that the main reason he hadn’t commented on the backlash so far was because it would have required him to quote some of the nastiest, most racist things he’d ever heard and that he didn’t want to give them attention.

“However, as the pundit Bonchie at RedState points out, by not shining a spotlight on them, I’m inadvertently playing along with the liberal media, who are also ignoring those stories for a very different reason: to protect Democrats by keeping the public from knowing about their truly offensive comments,” he said.

The former Arkansas Governor also pointed readers to the story of a Latino Los Angeles deputy sheriff pulling over a driver for using her cellphone while driving, only to be told by the woman, “You’re always gonna be a Mexican, you’ll never be white, you know that?” to demonstrate a real example of racism. Fox News correspondent Bill Melugin identified the driver and confirmed that she worked as a professor in Los Angeles schools.
