(PresidentialWire.com)- Retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn thanked President Donald Trump on Thursday morning for pardoning him, after years of a Democrat witch hunt against him. Flynn thanked the president for making the bold move, calling it a “pardon of innocence.”
“This ‘Pardon of Innocence’ is historic, sincerely appreciate & should never happen in our country again,” Flynn noted.
This “Pardon of Innocence” is historic, sincerely appreciated & should never happen in our country again. I will issue a personal statement later today. My family issued one yesterday.
Thank you America 🇺🇸

“I will issue a personal statement later today. My family issued one yesterday. Thank you America. Happy Thanksgiving,” he added.
Flynn also referenced bible verse 1 Chronicles 16:32-34, which says:
“Let the sea resound, and all that is in it; let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them! Let the trees of the forest sing, let them sing for joy before the Lord, for he comes to judge the earth. Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.”
The pardoning of Flynn is a sign that President Donald Trump is aware that judges may not side with his legal team over issued related to election fraud. Should he leave office in January, it could potentially leave Democrats with ample opportunity to reopen fake Russia investigations that would further demonize and smear Flynn.
Flynn was the central target of the Russia investigation that ultimately found zero evidence of collusion. A conversation that took place between Flynn and the Russian ambassador during the transition to the Trump administration was used as evidence of collusion, and evidence shows that FBI officials conspired to get Flynn to enter a guilty plea of lying to authorities. Flynn later rescinded the guilty plea when evidence showed that authorities had conspired against him.
In a statement, on Wednesday, the Flynn family said they were grateful for the president answering the prayers of the nation “by removing the heavy burden of injustice off the shoulders of our brother Michael, with a full pardon of innocence.”
“Let it be heard across this great country and around the world that tyranny will not topple us. Masks will not silence us. Threats will not stop us. Evil will not triumph,” the statement added. “We are Americans. We stand on the shoulders of the greatest forces and heroes of bravery and courage the world has ever known. That is our legacy and our obligation to defend now, and for generations to come,” the statement concluded.”
While the pardon will protect Flynn from further fake federal investigations, it’s unlikely to stop the Democrats continuing their smear campaign against him.
