(PresidentialWire.com)- The media has disgracefully shared leaked text messages from Kimberley Guilfoyle, the girlfriend of Donald Trump Jr., as part of a smear trying to connect her with the January 6 riots in Washington, D.C.
ProPublica reports how Guilfoyle, who is also a fundraiser for former President Donald Trump, “boasted” to a Republican operative that she had raised some $3 million for the peaceful protest organized on January 6.
However, the media tried to smear Guilfoyle as having boasted that she helped fund a riot – which is not what she did.
In a series of text messages between Guilfoyle and political operative Katrina Pierson on January 4, Guilfoyle reportedly explained how she had raised huge sums of money to fund a protest in Washington, D.C., in favor of election integrity.
ProPublica claimed that the texts, which the outlet say, was the “strongest indication yet” that members of the Trump family circle were “directly involved in the financing and organization of the rally” and the “attack on the capitol that” that “left five dead and scores injured.”
Here’s the problem with this report: nobody knew that this peaceful rally, which was organized by supporters of the president, would be hijacked by radical left-wingers and right-wing activists alike.
Don’t forget that it wasn’t just Trump supporters who breached the Capitol Building that day. Even a CNN reporter went in there.
So when ProPublica says that Guilfoyle bragged about raising money for a riot, they’re not telling the truth – or they’re being willfully disingenuous.
Presumably Guilfoyle has a lawyer ready to take on these disgraceful claims…
