(Presidentialwire.com)- According to reports, in connection with the death of black motorist Tyre Nichols, five former Memphis police officers were accused of second-degree murder and kidnapping.
The driver, Tyre Nichols, passed away following a violent altercation during a traffic stop on January 7, prompting the firing of the officers, Tadarrius Bean, Demetrius Haley, Emmitt Martin III, Desmond Mills Jr., and Justin Smith, on Friday.
Al Sharpton delivered the eulogy on Wednesday at the Mississippi Boulevard Christian Church during Tyre Nichols’ funeral.
Vice President Kamala Harris spoke at the funeral as well. In her remarks, Harris insulted police officers while putting on an odd accent.
Harris is well-known for her nonsensical, unprepared speeches and the occasional accents she uses to pander to an audience.
In 2021, Vice President Kamala Harris came under online mockery for faking a French accent during a charm offensive to improve ties with France, America’s first ally. Harris was at the Pasteur Institute in Paris, touring a COVID-19 lab.
According to reports, Harris’ language quirk caught the attention of social media.
CNN contributor Scott Jennings tweeted that this was what Biden thinks of France, our oldest ally.
Abigail Marone, press secretary for Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.), tweeted asking if Harris was trying to use a French accent. She said she loved “this episode of Veep.’”
Political columnist Joe Concha wrote #AuRevoir. There are no words anymore. He captioned a post from America Rising that included a clip of Harris addressing French scientists.
On the eve of the 2020 election, Fox News host Tucker Carlson devoted a portion of his highly-watched program to making fun of Sen. Kamala Harris’ remarks during campaign stops in Florida and Georgia.
Carlson made light of the fact that Kamala behaved as if she had lived in the Deep South her entire life. He joked that she would face 30 years to life in prison if being a fake was a crime.
Although Harris has been regarded as the Democrat Party’s standard-bearer in 2024 if President Biden does not seek reelection, polls show she is even less popular than President Biden.
