Judge Gives Timeline For Case Involving Trump’s Children

(Presidentialwire.com)- A New York civil fraud case involving Trump and his children is set for October 2023, according to Mediaite.

New York Attorney General Letitia James filed a $250 million lawsuit against the former president, Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka Trump, and Eric Trump, in September alleging “years of financial fraud to obtain a host of economic benefits.”

The attorney general’s suit was the result of a three-year-long investigation into the Trump Organization. She alleges that the organization overvalued its assets by billions of dollars and therefore committed “staggering” fraud. The purpose of the lawsuit is to prevent Trump, Trump Jr., Eric, and Ivanka, from ever doing business in the state again.

Trump has reportedly denied the fraud and called the suit a politically motivated attack.

“A puppet judge of the New York Attorney General and other sworn enemies of President Trump and the Republican Party has just issued a ruling never before seen anywhere in America,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “It is Communism come to our shores.”

Clifford Robert, an attorney for Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, reiterated Trump’s comment and said that the case was all “smoke and mirrors.”

In a counterattack, Trump has filed a lawsuit of his own against the attorney general, alleging that James contravened New York and Florida law to wage a “war of intimidation and harassment” against him and his interests.

After announcing his bid for president once again, the former president will reportedly attend the trial between campaign events.

Trump’s announcement follows a crushing GOP defeat during the midterms after key races in Nevada, Arizona, and Pennsylvania were lost. The defeat led many Republicans to suggest the party is no longer headed by the former president.

While the GOP saw a narrow victory in the House, Florida swiftly carried the party to victory, winning over the historically blue Miami-Dade County. The establishment GOP is now looking to Governor Ron DeSantis as the party’s leader as Trump issued statements attacking him.
