Joe Biden Starts Cracking Jokes About Withdrawing From Afghanistan

(PresidentialWire.com)- After botching the long-awaited withdrawal of U.S. troops from Afghanistan and putting thousands of Americans and citizens of allied countries in danger, the worst possible thing President Joe Biden could probably do right now is laugh and crack jokes.

But…well…that’s what he’s doing.

Just a day before a tragic suicide bombing took place outside of Kabul’s international airport, Joe Biden tried to laugh off the horrors going on in Afghanistan, even as he was being asked very serious questions.

During a White House Press briefing, Biden was challenged by Peter Alexander – not Doocy – who is a correspondent for left-leaning NBC News. He asked the president what his plan was for any Americans who are left trapped in Afghanistan after the August 31 deadline, which was imposed by the Taliban.

And instead of offering a genuine answer, or even saying that he will work beyond the Taliban’s deadline to secure the safety of every single American citizen, Biden laughed, smiles, and said “you’ll be the first person I’ll call.”

Uh…what?

That’s not even a joke. It doesn’t make any sense. Alexander appeared to be confused, too, and shared the video on his Twitter. See:

Alexander noted how the president then refused to take any more questions, which has become a theme when it comes to his various Afghanistan withdrawal disasters.

The White House seemed to recognize how offensive Biden’s behavior was, too – which is presumably why they cut the audio feed in the official video.

Take a look at the clip below, where you’ll see Biden continue to talk and laugh but the audio goes quiet.

Peter Doocy of Fox News later prompted White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki what was so funny…and, as you’d expect, he got a non-answer.

Is anyone in the White House taking this seriously?
