How the DNC Is Covering For Her Many Failures

After President Joe Biden’s disastrous debate performance on June 27, the American news media expressed shock and dismay that the Democrat Party and the White House had hidden the president’s cognitive decline.

Media outlets that have provided cover fire for Joe Biden since he was hiding in his Delaware basement claimed not to know that the 81-year-old man’s brains were turning to soup.

But the shock and dismay were feigned.

The news media wasn’t duped. It was a willing participant in the cover-up.

Just two weeks before the debate, the same media outlets that condemned the White House for covering up Joe Biden’s declining health were lecturing Republicans over so-called “cheap fake” videos showing the president in varying states of confusion.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre quickly seized on the media’s “cheap fake” narrative and repeated it from the White House podium.

The media only abandoned its protection of Joe Biden when it became clear to the entire world that he was now a liability in the quest to defeat Donald Trump.

If there was any doubt that the news media was a willing participant in the effort to hide the real Joe Biden from the public, it was removed the instant the media began to help hide the real Kamala Harris from the public.

We are two weeks into the Harris for President campaign, and Kamala has yet to sit down for a single unscripted interview or hold a press conference.

Even Joe Biden was giving interviews while hiding out in his basement in 2020.

COVID handed the Biden campaign the perfect excuse to stick old Joe in a basement. The only virus Team Kamala is trying to avoid is Foot-in-Mouth Disease.

 

Donald Trump named JD Vance as his running mate and within minutes, the press was churning out opposition research like it was going out of style.

The President of the United States dropped out of the race just days before his official nomination and tapped the vice president as his pinch-hitter, and the mainstream media wouldn’t touch her past with a barge pole.

Instead, they lectured Republicans who dared to broach the topic of Kamala’s NC-17-rated rise to power while unquestioningly regurgitating the Harris campaign’s press releases announcing that Kamala no longer supported all of the far-left policies she supported up until July 21 when Biden tapped her as the nominee.

The media spent days explaining why the woman they described as Biden’s “Border Czar” wasn’t the border czar and Republicans were lying.

The “Kamala wasn’t the Border Czar” defense was immediately replaced with the “Yes, Kamala promoted the bail fund for BLM but she never personally donated to it” defense.

How long before the media claims that the clips of Kamala spinning her word salads are “cheap fakes?”

The news media does not regret its failure to report on Joe Biden’s cognitive decline. Their only regret is that Biden made it impossible for them to continue the cover-up.

And here’s the thing. The cover-up continues apace, except this time they’re covering for Kamala.

Over the weekend, the UK tabloid The Daily Mail reported that Kamala’s husband Doug Emhoff’s previous marriage ended after he had an affair with his daughter’s nanny and got her up the duff. The nanny aborted the child.

Rather than comment to The Mail, Emhoff went to a sympathetic reporter from CNN to confirm the story. He told CNN’s Edward-Isaac Dovere that he and his first wife were going through a rough patch at the time “on account of my actions” and since then, his family had worked through it and came out “stronger on the other side.”

But that’s not the funny part.

The funny part was reporter Chris Cillizza’s response to Dovere’s reporting.

Cillizza, who famously declared in 2016 that reporters do not root for a side, tweeted, “How did this not come out before???”

Is he kidding?

He has to be kidding.

How did this not come out before? Really?

It’s simple, Chris.

Kamala Harris is a Democrat, therefore the “family is off limits” rule that is ignored when a candidate is a Republican suddenly becomes sacrosanct.

Why is it sacrosanct, Chris?

Because reporters root for the Democrats.

Now, Kamala could come out and speak directly to reporters about the scandal but that would require, you know, speaking directly to reporters, and heaven forbid that happens before November 5.

You’ll note that the American media only covered the “Doug Knocked Up the Help” story to convey his defense not to promote the scandal.

And it is a scandal.

As “First Gentleman,” Mr. Emhoff decided to tackle the scourge of Toxic Masculinity.

Then again, as the old saying goes, it takes one to know one.

In an October 2022 interview with CNN’s Dana Bash, Emhoff said he wanted to be an example to other men on how they should support women.

Really? By banging the nanny and getting her pregnant? Or was the “support” paying for the abortion?

If Kamala Harris were the Republican nominee, reporters would be screaming questions at her demanding that she answer for Doug’s dirty past. Instead, the media accepted Doug’s statement to Edward-Isaac Dovere and declared the matter closed.

The news media that shielded Joe Biden throughout his 2020 campaign and into his presidency haven’t turned a new leaf. All they did was redirect their cover fire from Joe to Kamala.

There will be no hard-hitting exposés about Kamala’s radical left agenda or her role in the administration’s failures. Instead, they’ll allow the Harris campaign to dictate the narrative without an ounce of pushback.

This was obvious over the weekend after Donald Trump announced that he accepted an invitation from Fox News to debate Harris on September 4.

No media outlet demanded to know why Kamala was refusing the invitation. Instead, they repeated the Harris campaign’s talking point that Trump “backed out” of the ABC debate with Harris and chose his beloved Fox News instead.

Now, it’s possible that some reporters and media outlets are terrified to push back on the Harris campaign narrative out of fear that the vindictive Harris people might freeze them out if their girl wins the White House.

While that may be part of their motivation, it isn’t the driving force.

The media sees its job as defeating Donald Trump. If acting as the Harris campaign’s public relations firm helps deliver that defeat, then by golly, sign them up.
