(Presidentialwire.com)- The odious Hillary Clinton last week compared the pro-life movement and the Supreme Court’s overturning Roe v. Wade to the oppressive regimes in Sudan, Iraq, and Afghanistan last Friday while speaking at a women’s rights summit.
While appearing at the Clinton Presidential Center’s summit on women’s rights, interviewer Christiane Amanpour asked Hillary about her 1995 statement describing women’s rights as “unfinished business.”
Hillary claimed that while women’s rights have come “a long way” since she made that statement, but added that today “there is a lot of pushback” and much of the progress “is under attack.”
She claimed that it might be shocking to think that the United States is “in any way” related to places like Afghanistan and Sudan, “but as an advanced economy as we allegedly are, on this measure, we, unfortunately, are rightly put with them.”
She said the progress on women’s rights is “literally under attack” in places like Iran, Afghanistan, and Ukraine, but, she added, it is also under attack in the United States “when it comes to women’s healthcare and bodily autonomy.”
Clinton claimed that the struggle everywhere, including in the United States, “is between autocracy and democracy,” adding that having limits placed on abortion is “undemocratic.”
It’s “undemocratic” for duly-elected state legislators to pass legislation limiting abortion to the first 15 weeks of pregnancy?
“Democracy” and “democratic” have lost all meaning.
Both Clinton and Amanpour agreed that “draconian” measures were being taken in the US to push back against women’s rights.
Hillary claimed that since the SCOTUS ruling, voters have had the chance to “vote on these draconian abortion restrictions” and they rejected them. She claimed that it was “obvious” the “great majority” of the country believes that “the Supreme Court, local states, legislatures, et cetera have gone way too far.”
