George Soros’ Plan To Pack DAs Around The Country Is Backfiring

( Left-wing prosecutors in Democrat-run cities from Los Angeles to Philadelphia are facing growing backlash for their soft-on-crime policies as violent crime rates rise and devastate local communities in the wake of last month’s recall vote that forced the San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin from office.

George Soros, a left-wing megadonor, has spent the last few years pouring tens of millions of dollars into local district attorney races across the country, supporting candidates who support measures like abolishing bail, cutting funding to the police, and decriminalizing or deprioritizing particular offenses. Many of these progressive prosecutors are funded by Soros.

District Attorney Larry Krasner of Philadelphia is a Soros-supported prosecutor presently facing criticism.

The Pennsylvania state House established a bipartisan committee last week to look into a slew of crimes in Philadelphia. The committee would have the authority to subpoena witnesses and office records, and it will be able to offer recommendations based on solid evidence up to Krasner’s impeachment.

Recall elections don’t take place in Pennsylvania.

Under Krasner, Philadelphia had an increase in homicides from 353 in 2018 to 562 in 2021, the bloodiest year in the history of the city.

The city’s political leaders have imposed a 10 p.m. curfew for children under 18 in reaction to the violence. However, police are not permitted to punish children who are out beyond the curfew. Instead, the rule states that authorities must “make every reasonable attempt” to bring suspects home.

Los Angeles County DA George Gascon, the focus of a recall campaign to remove him from office, is another Soros-backed prosecutor facing criticism – and probable unemployment.

According to a raw count made public earlier this month, a petition to recall Gascon has received 715,833 signatures.

Moving on to Missouri, Kimberly Gardner, the St. Louis Circuit Attorney, is another Soros-funded prosecutor who is being scrutinized.

In April, Gardner showed up for a disciplinary hearing where she was accused of breaking the law regarding ethics after bringing charges against former Missouri governor Eric Greitens in 2018.

While this is happening, Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx, another Soros-funded prosecutor, is also under criticism in Chicago due to the city’s high violent crime rate and record low arrest rate.

Since Foxx took over as Cook County’s state’s attorney, violent crime in Chicago has increased significantly. Seven hundred ninety-seven murders were committed in 2021, higher than any year since 1994. Crime figures show a 27 percent increase in criminal sexual assault.

According to the most recent statistics, homicides are tracking at a lower pace than they were a year ago, but total crime is up 34%.

Most of the Soros-installed District Attorneys are facing monumental backlash. One could say that Soros’ plan of action has been a rousing failure.
