Fox News Host Says “I Feel Violated” Over Strange FBI Raid Targeting Trump

(PresidentialWire.com)- A Fox News co-host of “The Five” said that he felt violated after the FBI targeted the former president in a raid, Mediaite reported. Jesse Waters was referring to the August 8 raid on Donald Trump at his home in Mar-a-Lago, where the FBI executed a warrant seeking documents that Trump was allegedly supposed to turn over to the National Archives, a federal library that keeps official records and documents.

After the agency reported that Trump had classified documents earlier this year, the FBI, at the approval of Attorney General Merrick Garland, raided the former president’s home in what Trump called a “weaponization” of the criminal system.

Jesse Waters of Fox News felt personally attacked from the raid, saying that it has angered and energized Trump’s base. He also said that the justice system has declared war on conservatives.

“I’m angry. I feel violated. The whole country feels violated. It’s disgusting. They’ve declared war on us and now it’s game on. Imagine you’re Eric Trump and you are at Mar-a-Lago. That’s your home. Your mother has just died two weeks ago. And the FBI is sending agents with weapons into your house, violating your privacy like that. It’s unbelievable,” he added.

He then criticized the National Archives and the Presidential Records Act, saying that it’s like the library showing up with armed agents to storm your house. The Presidential Records Act of 1978 gave Congress power to govern official documents of the president. Waters claims, however, that we do not know whether or not the warrant was corrupt, saying that the justice system “cooked up a fake warrant last time when they spied on the Trump campaign.”

Waters also suggested that the raid was politically motivated, designed to lower his support, but then claimed that it will come back around to do the opposite and everyone knows it.

After the raid, Republican Senator Chuck Grassley reportedly introduced addressed FBI director Christopher Wray over the agency’s lack of transparency.
