(PresidentialWire.com)- On Sunday, the thirteen American service members killed in last week’s terror attack in Kabul arrived at Dover Air Force Base for the dignified transfer ceremony. Rumors swirled on Saturday that Joe Biden did not plan to attend, however, those rumors proved to be false. Joe and his wife Jill were both on hand for the ceremony.
But, given Biden’s penchant for doing something absolutely inappropriate, perhaps it would have been better if the rumors had been true and he stayed away.
During the transfer as the caskets were removed from the plane, President Biden was caught on television checking his watch.
It's true. Joe Biden checked his watch during the dignified transfer of the servicemembers killing in Afghanistan at the airport. You can see him jerk his left hand to pull the watch out from under his sleeve, then look down at it. pic.twitter.com/M3QVzJbTIm

While he was only filmed checking his watch once, it turns out he did several times.
And it didn’t escape the notice of the grieving families.
On Monday night, two of the newly-minted Gold Star appeared on Fox’s Hannity. And both Mark Schmitz, father of Marine Lance Corporal Jared Schmitz, and Darin Hoover, father of Marine Staff Sergeant Taylor Hoover, had nothing but harsh words for the alleged Commander-in-Chief.
Hannity spoke with Mark Schmitz and Darin Hoover, fathers of 2 of the Marines killed in Kabul. Speaking about Biden looking at his watch, Hoover says it happened 13x for "every single one that came out of that airplane." Schmitz: "The most disrespectful thing I've ever seen." pic.twitter.com/z5ljjFLd7B

Darin Hoover wasn’t the only one who skipped the Dover meeting with President Biden. The family of Marine Lance Corporal Rylee McCollum also skipped it. Only Rylee’s wife Jiannah opted to meet with Biden.
According to Rylee’s sister Roice, Jiannah left disappointed, feeling as if it was “scripted and shallow.” Of course it didn’t help that Joe, instead of “consoling the families,” babbled on about his dead son Beau.
In his interview on Hannity, Mark Schmitz also expressed frustration that Biden “talked a bit more about his own son than he did my son,” adding that it didn’t sit well with him.
It didn’t sit well with any of them. One of the things all the families who spoke to the press objected to during their meeting with the President was the fact that, once again, Joe made the moment all about him and his sorrow over losing his son Beau.
Shana Chappell, the mother of Lance Corporal Kareem Nikoui, posted a message to Joe Biden to Instagram after their contentious meeting at Dover. Her message was, in a word, scathing. Chappell slammed Biden for checking his watch. She described their confrontation which she said ended with Biden rolling his eyes at her, throwing up his hand and walking away.
Facebook suspended Chappell’s Instagram account after she posted her message, then, after social media outrage, claimed her suspension was a mistake.
