(PresidentialWire.com)- Tuesday, the Babylon Bee scored a major coup when it hosted an exclusive interview with Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk. It might seem an odd venue since the Babylon Bee is widely known as a satirical website. But the Bee also hosts a regular podcast.
The 90-minute interview, hosted by Babylon Bee CEO Seth Dillon, editor-in-chief Kyle Mann, and creative director Ethan Nicolle covered a wide array of subjects from Musk’s online battle with Elizabeth Warren, to the Metaverse, to wealth, taxes, and stock sales, and how the Left is killing comedy.
Musk pointed out that, while he’ll be paying about $11 billion in taxes in 2021, even someone from H&R Block could do his taxes for him. He doesn’t have offshore accounts or complicated tax-avoidance schemes that would make his taxes difficult to calculate.
He also talked about the nature of wealth and what he thinks of the billionaire wealth tax schemes promoted by politicians like Elizabeth Warren. Musk asked, “what is this wealth?” It isn’t as if there is “some massive cash balance” that he is hoarding. Instead, he just owns 20 percent of a company that became very valuable.
Musk also slammed the attempts to cancel comedian Dave Chappelle, arguing that “woke mind virus” is “one of the biggest threats to modern civilization.” He said humor should be okay, but “wokeness” wants to make it illegal. Then he asked “do we want a humorless society” full of “condemnation and hate?”
Musk went on to define “wokeness” as “divisive, exclusionary, and hateful.” And people who peddle it use it as “a shield to be mean and cruel.”
