Donald Trump Says Liz Cheney is a ‘Low IQ War Hawk’ After Harris Endorsement

GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump has attacked Liz Cheney after she pulled her latest antics — endorsing Democrat Kamala Harris for president.

On his Truth Social platform over the weekend, Trump called Cheney a “low IQ war hawk.”

He wrote:

“Liz Cheney lost her Congressional Seat by the largest margin in the history of Congress for a sitting Representative. The people of Wyoming are really smart!

“She is a low IQ War Hawk that, as a member of the J6 Unselect Committee of Political Hacks and Thugs, ILLEGALLY DESTROYED & DELETED all documents, information, and evidence.”

In early 2021, Cheney was one of 10 Republicans in the House to vote in favor of Trump’s second impeachment. She then sat on the January 6 select committee that investigated the riot at the U.S. Capitol, serving as its co-chair.

She was a rising star of the GOP at one point, serving as the third-ranking member of the House GOP. However, her actions against Trump — and the fact that she consistently criticized him — resulted in her falling from grace quite quickly.

The Wyoming Republican Party censured Cheney in 2021 and then — as Trump mentioned in his post — she lost in the GOP primary this year in her bid for re-election to the House.

Since leaving Congress, Cheney has not toned down her rhetoric about Trump, though. In fact, she’s gotten much louder, continuing to criticize him and even saying she wouldn’t vote for him come November.

That all came to a head last week, though, when she appeared at a rally in the battleground state of Wisconsin with Harris and endorsed the vice president over Trump.

At that rally, she said:

“I have never voted for a Democrat, but this year I am proudly casting my vote for Vice President Kamala Harris. As a conservative, as a patriot, as a mother, as someone who reveres our Constitution, I am honored to join her in this urgent cause.”

Cheney further said Trump “can never be trusted with power again,” adding, “in this election, putting patriotism ahead of partisanship is not an aspiration, it is our duty.”

Those comments, and the fact that Cheney officially endorsed Harris, drew the ire of Trump last week. He wrote off Cheney and her father — Dick Cheney, who served as vice president during the George W. Bush administration — as “two fools” who are “suffering gravely from Trump Derangement Syndrome.”

Dick Cheney has also come out and said he would vote for Harris next month.

Trump attacked the father-daughter duo when he wrote:

“Her father, Dick, was a leader of our ridiculous journey into the Middle East, where Trillions of Dollars were spent, millions of people were killed — and for what? NOTHING!

“Well, today, these two fools, because the Republican Party no longer wants them, endorsed the most Liberal Senator in the U.S. Senate, further Left than even Pocahontas or Crazy Bernie Sanders — Lyin’ Kamala Harris. What a pathetic couple that is … Good Luck to them both!!!”
