(PresidentialWire.com)- By the end of the summer or the start of the fall, former President Donald Trump is said to launch a new bid for the presidency.
Trump told a publication that he had already made a choice in his mind, so nothing else factors in anymore.
That brought the potential timing of his decision into the spotlight. The only decision left to make if an announcement is to be made is when to make a formal proclamation.
Recent reports claimed Trump had spoken with some of his highest-profile backers about the timing of his announcement. Some of them had urged him to follow historical precedent and announce his candidacy for president after the midterm election cycle to avoid blame should Republicans perform poorly. Others had been pushing for an earlier announcement in order to frighten off possible competitors.
Two Trump associates told a publication that Donald Trump planned to make an announcement in September. Another confidant estimated the likelihood that he may make an announcement earlier than September.
According to the most recent information she had, a reporter at CNN suggested that Trump is pushing his aides to get him ready to declare before or shortly after Labor Day.
She added that Trump’s team is on high alert for an announcement at any point this summer.
Reports show that a possible Democrat Party choice for President is Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA). According to current polls, he would be a better candidate than Vice President Kamala Harris. And Democrats believe Newsom could beat Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL). But last week, Newsom told the media that he promised the White House he would not run against Biden.
Former President Donald Trump’s announcement could come at any time while Joe Biden’s administration is facing dismal poll numbers, high fuel and food prices, and a crashing economy. If that happens, it’s bye-bye Brandon!
