Joe Biden referred to Kamala Harris as Vice President Trump at Thursday night’s “Big Boy” news conference, making Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, and National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan grimace.
President Joe Biden’s “Big Boy” news conference on July 11 was a complete disaster, and he was very late. Introducing Kamala Harris as “Vice President Trump” was one of Biden’s many blunders.
This occurred immediately after Joe Biden mistakenly called Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky “President Putin.”
Biden was asked by a reporter if he would be OK with Kamala Harris at the top of the ticket. Biden said that if he didn’t believe “Vice President Trump” had the qualifications to be President, he wouldn’t have chosen her as his running mate.
When the remark was made, Blinken lowered his head and tightened his mouth. Lloyd Austin looked down, and Jake Sullivan put his hand over his mouth and his chin.
An NBC reporter later informed Biden that Trump made fun of him because of his gaffe. He told Biden that because he referred to Vice President Harris as Vice President Trump, Donald Trump mocked him on social media. The reporter asked Biden how he would respond to the criticism.
Biden’s attempted slam at Trump failed when he snarked,
“Listen to him.”
While the other foreign leaders waited for Biden to arrive at the NATO summit on Thursday morning, twenty minutes late, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni showed her disdain for Biden.
In a video, Meloni expressed her frustration with Biden by rolling her eyes and motioning to her wrist. In another clip, she swiftly moved away from Biden after he kissed her cheek and posed for a picture.
As the 10 AM start time had already passed, Meloni gazed up at the ceiling, crossed her eyes theatrically, and gestured to her wrist (pretending to point to a watch) while chatting with Finnish President Alexander Stubb. Someone else took out their phone to see the time, and she grimaced and rolled her eyes once again.
