Democrats May Have Deliberately Told Zelenskyy to Sabotage Trump Meeting

Democrats are playing a dangerous game with Ukraine and Russia. Just before President Zelenskyy’s disastrous White House meeting with President Trump, Democrat Senator Chris Murphy and others apparently urged him to reject peace without U.S. military guarantees.

So, did they cause the Oval Office blow up all along?

Democrats Set Zelensky Up For Failure

New information suggests that Democrat Senator Chris Murphy of Connecticut and other liberal lawmakers may have sabotaged any chance of a diplomatic resolution to the Ukraine-Russia conflict by encouraging Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to take a hardline stance before meeting President Trump. According to reports, Democrats encouraged Zelenskyy to reject any peace deal that didn’t include “security guarantees” from the United States—essentially American military commitments against Russia.

This advice came shortly before Zelenskyy’s now-infamous Oval Office meeting with President Trump and Vice President JD Vance that descended into a heated exchange captured by cameras. The meeting, intended as a diplomatic discussion, quickly turned contentious when Zelenskyy appeared to dismiss American concerns and denounced the possibility of a ceasefire with Russia.

Democrats love criticizing that famous Oval Office bust up – but they might have been the ones who caused it.

Republicans Rally Behind Trump

Following the tense Oval Office meeting, Republicans strongly supported President Trump and Vice President Vance for standing up to what they viewed as disrespect from the Ukrainian leader. Senator Lindsey Graham expressed pride in Trump’s handling of the situation, criticizing Zelenskyy’s approach and suggesting that the Ukrainian President may need to reconsider his position or even resign.

“Somebody asked me, am I embarrassed about Trump. I have never been more proud of the President. I was very proud of JD Vance standing up for our country. We want to be helpful. What I saw in the Oval Office was disrespectful, and I don’t know if we can ever do business with Zelenskyy again. The way he handled the meeting, the way he confronted the President, was just over the top,” Sen. Lindsey Graham said.

And that’s saying something, coming from Graham!

Speaker Mike Johnson and numerous Republican lawmakers echoed this sentiment, emphasizing that America would no longer be disrespected under President Trump’s leadership. Some Republicans went further, with Representatives like Victoria Spartz and Anna Paulina Luna calling for an immediate end to U.S. funding for Ukraine, arguing that America’s resources should be directed toward domestic priorities.

Democrats Double Down on Failed Strategy

Meanwhile, Democrats double down on their obsessive criticism, with Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and other Democrats defending Zelenskyy while attacking President Trump and Vice President Vance, accusing them of undermining U.S. foreign policy and serving Russian interests by seeking a negotiated end to the conflict.

“Trump and Vance are doing Putin’s dirty work. Senate Democrats will never stop fighting for freedom and democracy,” Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said.

The political reality, however, is that President Trump has made it clear he won’t commit American troops to fighting Russia, regardless of pressure from Democrats or foreign leaders.

Democrats can keep crying about it, because Trump isn’t going to war. Period.
