Democrat Candidate Deletes Twitter After Loss

(Presidentialwire.com)- Trump-backed Tim Scott easily defeated Krystle Matthews, a Democrat running for the U.S. Senate in South Carolina.

In contrast to Matthews’ 38.9% support, Sen. Scott received more than 61% of the vote.

The fact that Krystle Matthews deactivated her Twitter account right after the Associated Press declared Scott the winner made Scott’s victory much sweeter. Her hissy fit was a cherry on top.

Before her defeat, Krystle Matthews was videotaped by Project Veritas, saying, “Treat white people like sh*t.” This garnered her national attention.

She would also claim that she has the ability to control white people by “keeping them under her thumb.”

One wonders if all the white people that voted against her did so by clicking the lever for Scott with their thumbs.

Scott first served in the US Senate in 2013 and just ran for re-election to continue serving South Carolina. Sen. Jim DeMint resigned to take the helm of the Heritage Foundation, and Gov. Nikki Haley appointed him to finish his term.

As a result, he became the first Black Republican senator to hold the office since the 1970s. Additionally, Scott became the South’s first Black senator since Reconstruction.

He participates in the Finance, Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions and other Senate Committees. Scott formerly held positions on the Charleston City Council, the South Carolina House of Representatives, and the US House of Representatives, where he represented South Carolina’s 1st Congressional District.

Scott’s name is frequently mentioned when discussing potential presidential or vice presidential candidates in 2024.

In the South Carolina House of Representatives, Scott’s rival Matthews was chosen to represent Berkeley and Charleston counties in 2018. She ran for the US Senate and the state house during this midterm election cycle.

OpenSecrets claims that as of October 19, Scott had raised $49.3 million, spent $31.8 million, and had $21.4 million in cash on hand. As of October 19, Matthews, his opponent, had raised $136,208, spent $89,183, and had $17,792 cash.
