CNN LIES About Trump’s Google Claim, Purposely Twists Facts

( – CNN, along with a multitude of other left-wing fake news media outlets, are claiming that President Donald Trump lied when he said tech giant Google is developing an app to assist those who have contracted the Chinese coronavirus.

CNN’s suggestion that the president is lying is based on a minor technicality that, ultimately, means very little.

During a press conference on Friday, the president announced that “Google is going to develop a website – it’s going to be very quickly done, unlike websites of the past – to determine if a test is warranted and to facilitate testing at a nearby convenient location.”

The president also explained how the company has 1,700 engineers working on the project, and that “they have made tremendous progress.”

CNN, being CNN, claimed the President lied as “Google will not be publishing a national-scale website for coronavirus testing anytime soon, contrary to claims made by President Donald Trump during a Friday news conference.”

Incredibly, CNN then went on to explain how a subsidiary company from Google’s parent company, Alphabet, will be launching a website that does what the president said it would. CNN either doesn’t realize or purposely ignored the fact that many people still consider Google and Alphabet to be the same. The triage app being developed by the Alphabet subsidiary, a company called Verily, will offer support and advice for those affected by coronavirus.

YouTube, for instance, is technically an Alphabet company but is still considered by most people to be a Google website and company. And, for some time, it was! Alphabet only appeared in 2015 when Google executives separated the company as it began expanding into other areas of technology.

Google confirmed that Alphabet company Verily was working on an app that will first be trialed in California and later rolled out to other locations.

“We are developing a tool to help triage individuals for Covid-19 testing,” Google announced.

“Verily is in the early stages of development, and planning to roll testing out in the Bay Area, with the hope of expanding more broadly over time. We appreciate the support of government officials and industry partners and thank the Google engineers who have volunteered to be part of this effort.”

So not only was the president right when he said the website would be national, despite CNN saying it wouldn’t be, but he was also right about Google engineers working on the project.

This is how low CNN is willing to go! They willingly spread fake news while pretending to be purveyors of truth. The fact is…the president didn’t lie!
