Chris Wallace FALSELY Claims Trump Interrupted Biden First During Debate…Video Proves Otherwise

(PresidentialWire.com)- Chris Wallace, the Fox News anchor who hosted the first presidential debate between President Donald Trump and Democratic nominee Joe Biden, falsely claimed on Thursday that the president was the first one to interrupt during the debate.

The debate has become a contentious topic in recent days, as the Commission for Presidential Debates even publicly suggested they may try and change the format to ensure that candidates cannot interrupt.

Wallace was also criticized for his unbalanced handling of the event, seeming to favor Joe Biden and even laughing along with the Democratic nominee on multiple occasion. And then, during an interview with Bill Hemmer on Fox News, Wallace claimed that the president bears the “primary responsibility for what happened.” He even claimed the president was the first to interrupt.

Video proves he wasn’t.

See?

And it has been widely repeated by conservatives online, too. Liberal media outlets published several articles about how President Trump repeatedly interrupted, but it was Joe Biden who lowered the tone from the start. Until Joe Biden interrupted, Trump was abnormally…calm!

But that’s not what Chris Wallace said to Fox.

“Here’s what happened. You know, we began the first segment on the Supreme Court. They each got their two minutes, and they both obeyed in that particular case. And then, Biden started to answer a question and the president started interrupting him,” Wallace claimed.

Wallace even cited a Fox report that said Trump interrupted Biden and Wallace 145 times, but again, ignored the fact that Biden was the only who lowered the tone.

Wallace also seemed to be oblivious of the fact that he repeatedly shut down President Trump but barely interrupted Joe Biden when he spoke outside of his allotted times.

The Fox News anchor even said that he felt like the debate he had prepared was a “beautiful, delicious cake” and that “the president put his foot in it.”
