Car Crash Involving Illegal “Immigrant” Leaves Chaos And Destruction

(PresidentialWire.com)- In mid-December, an illegal alien drunk driver going 110 miles per hour caused a fatal crash in Springfield, Missouri.

Jarol Leiva-Navarro, 21, an illegal alien from Honduras, was arrested on December 23 and charged with DWI and driving without a license for the December 11 crash that killed 32-year-old Colby Compton.

According to court documents, Leiva-Navarro slammed his Dodge Charger into Compton’s Saturn sedan around 9:30 pm on December 11. A witness told police that Leiva-Navarro appeared to be racing another vehicle down the street, weaving in and out of traffic at high rates of speed before he plowed into Compton’s vehicle.

Blood taken from Leiva-Navarro after the crash revealed he had a blood-alcohol level of 0.11 percent. Court documents say he also admitted to smoking pot earlier in the day. Springfield police analyzed the Charger’s Crash Data Retrieval System and discovered that five seconds before impact, Leiva-Navarro was traveling 110 mph with 100 percent acceleration.

Since he isn’t a legal resident, Leiva-Navarro does not have a driver’s license and has been previously cited for driving without a license.

Greene County prosecutors asked the court to keep Leiva-Navarro in jail without bond as his case moves forward, arguing that since he’s a Honduran national with few ties to the area, he is a flight risk.

According to his booking information, US Immigration and Customs Enforcement has a detainer on Leiva-Navarro, meaning if he is released by local police for any reason, he is to be turned over to ICE custody.

Leiva-Navarro entered a plea of not guilty and is being held at the Greene County Jail. His next court date is a month from now.

A DWI resulting in death is a Class B felony punishable by up to 15 years in prison.
