(PresidentialWire.com)- Ben & Jerry’s is an ice cream company that’s gotten a bit too big for its boots. The company, which inexplicably supports socialist Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders despite making a fortune courtesy of America’s capitalist economy, slammed the British Secretary for State for the Home Department this week over the country’s illegal immigration policy.
Home Secretary Priti Patel, who is engaging on a new mission to stop people crossing the English Channel illegally from France and claiming asylum in the United Kingdom, came under fire from the ice cream company.
In a tweet, Ben & Jerry’s said that they think the “real crisis” is a “lack of humanity for people fleeing war. Ben & Jerry’s did not comment on what war they believed was going on in France.

In a follow-up tweet, the ice cream company said that people wouldn’t make dangerous journeys “if they had any other choice,” but seems to ignore the fact that the people making this journey are largely coming from African countries and traveling through several safe countries – including France – before trying to enter the United Kingdom illegally.
“People cannot be illegal,” Ben & Jerry’s UK tweeted, signaling their lack of knowledge of immigration laws.

Home Secretary Priti Patel has come under fire recently from populists and conservatives in the United Kingdom following a huge influx of illegal aliens into the United Kingdom from France. These illegal immigrants cross the English Channel, a stretch of water between England and France, in dinghies and are often rescued by British authorities halfway through the journey.
Patel reaffirmed her commitment to stopping people making this crossing on August 7, saying the number of illegal small boat crossings is “appalling and unacceptably high.”
